Even the crew of the Enterprise needs a good laugh every once in a while. And while laugher can’t really ensure that you’ll “live long and prosper,” it’s definitely good for you! So, we’ve rounded up all of the funniest Star Trek bloopers to help you get those giggles going. These jokes may not go “where no man has gone before,” but they’re still pretty funny! And it’s clear from this footage that the cast of the Kelvin timeline movies had a fantastic time on set. You’d have to be as stoic as a Vulcan to resist laughing along with their antics!

Star Trek Bloopers & Gag Reel

Star Trek (2009) gave us so many funny bloopers that it’s hard to choose a favorite! The cast’s silly noises and gestures on set are so hilarious that we dare you not to laugh along with their antics. Simon Pegg’s Scotty asking, “Can I have a towel?” while dripping wet followed by Zachary Quinto’s Spock repeatedly flubbing his line is a pretty funny moment. Director J. J. Abrams even gets in on the antics with his microphone skills! But the highlight of this Star Trek blooper reel is no doubt when Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine do an entire scene in an over-the-top Irish accent. Check out all these funny Star Trek bloopers for yourself right here!

Star Trek Into Darkness Bloopers & Gag Reel

If you loved Star Trek Into Darkness, you can’t miss these hilarious bloopers. There are plenty of silly antics on set, but one of the funniest moments is when Zachary Quinto’s Spock asks Simon Pegg’s Scotty if he’s sure about a portable transporter, and Simon Pegg responds, “Aye, it said in the script!” Simon Pegg is also absolutely hilarious in the multiple outtakes of the bar scene between Scotty and Keenser. Another highlight is when Peter Weller, who plays Admiral Marcus, deadpans while seated in his captain’s chair: “I’ve never had my own ship. I’ve had a Ford Taurus…” His joke and his delivery are perfect! And we dare you not to start giggling along as the cast makes each other laugh on set. The cast’s on-set dancing – which includes a Klingon rendition of Thriller lead by Zoe Saldana – can’t be missed! Check out all the merriment right here.

Star Trek Beyond Bloopers

Of all the Star Trek blooper reels, Star Trek Beyond may just be the funniest. The scene where Dr. McCoy follows Captain Kirk through the corridors becomes absolutely sidesplitting when Karl Urban ad-libs a variety of inappropriate lines. It’s also pretty hard to keep a straight face through Chris Pine’s repeated struggles with the word “Fibonan.” Another highlight is when Zoe Saldana makes a mistake and ends up saying, “He needs a distribution deal!” which the cast picks up on and turns into a hilarious joke. But our favorite moment has to be when Zachary Quinto’s Spock exclaims, “Captain, we are not engaged for this level of engagement!” while filming a scene on the bridge. If you just can’t get enough of Star Trek Beyond, we highly recommend that you check out these sidesplitting bloopers!

Bonus Bloopers! Star Trek: The Original Series

Star Trek: The Original Series ran from 1966 – 1969 and featured stars like William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, Nichelle Nichols, and George Takei. Most of the blooper footage is lower quality than what we are used to today, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t entertaining! From the cast’s laughter to wayward props and on-set shenanigans, there’s a lot to enjoy about these early Star Trek bloopers! Our favorite moment? Probably when William Shatner gets carried off set as a joke right in the middle of a scene. Whether you’re a fan of the show or just curious, we highly recommend that you check out these Star Trek bloopers for yourself!
